CHOICES

CHOICES is an intentional non-religious, non-sectarian, inclusive youth transformative educational empowerment program. It is designed as a club with a mission to re-shape the lifestyle of students at secondary and tertiary education levels in Nigeria from system dependent mindset to self-reliance through club meetings, leadership training, skill acquisitions, talent identification, group project research, entrepreneurial skill acquisition, and innovation.

STEM Club

The STEM club is to help members develop a keen interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, through critical and analytical thinking process that are necessary for problem-solving. The STEM club also democratizes and demystifies STEM and engages members in transforming knowledge into solutions for everyday problems for the common good.

The STEM club assists members to:

1. Develop self-dependent mindset with passion to give back to the community.

2. Enhance the abilities of members to develop networking and team working spirits.

3. Create platforms and Educate members on the Activities of the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals. To build platforms for effective networking with other United Nations SDGs Youth forums.

CRAFT / TALENT Club

The Craft/ Talent Club of the CHOICES aims at identifying talented, skillful, and creative young Nigerians and provide them with necessary support for proper utilization of their abilities for the good of the society (Nigeria). It also focuses on encouraging talent and creativity among members of the club through competitive projects within the club and with other groups outside the Club.

INVENTION/ INNOVATION Club

The Invention/ Innovation of the CHOICES aims to:

1. Inspire, collate and advance all forms of original inventions and innovative ways of solving human problems, that will lead to sustainable development and to encourage ingenuity.

2. Identify talented, skillful, and creative young Nigerians and provide them with necessary support for proper utilization of their abilities for the good of the society (Nigeria).

3. Encourage talent and creativity among members of the club through competitive projects within the club and with other groups outside the club.

MUSIC Club

The CHOICES Music club is concerned about fostering professional music production – instrument playing; music design for film; music for advocacy or pursuing a course; music for activism; music for the soul as components of the club; in order to train members to understand the role of music in solving human problems and encouraging peace unity and progress.

FILM PRODUCTION Club

The Film Production Club assists members to learn practical skills on the art and craft of film production – cinematography; screen acting; art design for film; still photography/ editing; video/ film editing; costume design for film; film directing; film producing; make up for film. 

COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY Club

The CHOICES Communication Technology club enables members of the club to have the opportunity to build skills in various communication technology, including but not limited to:- writing communication skill; computer/internet networking skill; programming languages; web design; web hosting; coding; robotics; software/OS installations; web management; graphics design; infographics.

ENVIRONMENT/ CLIMATE WATCH Club –

The Environment / Climate club intimates members as the custodians of the earth, through imbibing practices that will ensure safe environment/ climate through safe disposal/ recycling of waste/ and local erosion management.

WASH Club

The CHOICES WASH club educates and engages members on the importance of safe water, adequate sanitation and hygiene education, and facilitating ways in assisting the community on safe water, adequate sanitation, and hygiene.

AGRO-ALLIED Club

The CHOICES Agro-Allied club helps members to learn how to use agricultural produce as raw materials to produce other finished product, in order to become entrepreneurs for job opportunities in food production. The club also helps to inspire and prepare members to imbibe communal self-help in the community for rural integrated farming and support club members to initiate productive communal farm.

R&D Club

The R&D club assists to train members in necessary data gathering, management, and documentation for CHOICES club activities, and to prepare and assist members on the need to gather data as document, as basic planning infrastructure for the school/organization hosting the local CHOICES club

VOLUNTEERS Club

The CHOICES Volunteer club helps members to create platform that inspires young Nigerians to see the importance of volunteering to assist the community, the school, and others. The volunteer club foster members understanding of sustainable way to give back to the community and build society for the common good.
