ABOUT THE AWARD

The Stamps Scholarship is the University of Miami’s most prestigious merit award, designed to recognize exceptional and academically accomplished high school seniors. This scholarship includes full tuition and fees, on-campus housing, a meal plan, University health insurance, textbooks, a laptop allowance, and access to a $12,000 enrichment fund. The enrichment fund can be used for study abroad, undergraduate research, unpaid internships, and other educational pursuits with prior approval from the Office of the Provost.

DEADLINE

November 01, 2025. Early Decision I and Early Action applicants are automatically considered when they apply for early admission to UM by submitting all First-Year Admission Requirements by November 1.

SELECTION PROCESS

· The scholarship is awarded to high school seniors based on a thorough evaluation of their application and supporting documents.

· Semi-finalist candidates for the Stamps Scholarship are required to interview via Zoom with the Stamps Scholarship Selection Committee in January. 

· Finalists will be selected based on a review of the admissions application and supporting documents, including their Zoom interview, and notified of their status as finalists at the time of admission in late January.

· Finalists will also be interviewed by the Stamps Family Charitable Foundation thereafter and Stamps Scholarship announcements will be made by early March.

AWARD DURATION

The Stamps Scholarship is awarded for the duration of the undergraduate program, provided that the recipient maintains a full-time student status (at least 12 credit hours per semester) and a minimum GPA of 3.0.

APPLICATION PROCESS

· To apply for the Stamps Scholarship, submit your application for early admission to the University of Miami by Nov. 1

· Ensure that you include all required First-Year Admission documents.

· If selected as a semi-finalist, you will be invited to interview via Zoom in January
